The iOS 12 beta version has been dropped for Apple developers and also for those who live on the bleeding edge in terms of software. If the beta OS does not scare you, here are the steps that you need to follow to get iOS 12 up and running on your iPhone or iPad.

Method 1: Install iOS 12 Developer Beta on iOS Device via Configuration File

I assume that you have already signed for an Apple Developer account, so the first thing that you now need to do is register your device(s) for the latest iOS 12 beta. Here are the steps you need to follow:

Register iOS Device For Beta

1. First, you need the UDID (Unique Device Identifier) of your iPhone/ iPad to register your device. You can get it by connecting your iOS device to your PC or Mac via iTunes. In the iTunes, you have to click on your iOS device’s serial number and you should see the UDID of your device. Now, you can copy it or jot it down somewhere.

2. Now, you have to navigate to the Apple’s Developers website and login with your Apple ID (Developer Account). When you logged in, go to “Certificates, IDs, and Profiles” and then, go to the “Devices” section. Now, you need to select the iOS device you want to install the iOS 12 beta on.

3. After you’ve selected your device, you need to click on the “plus icon” and enter the details of your iOS device: the name of your device and the UDID you’d copied. Now, you have to click on the “Continue” button when you’re done and voila, you’re registered to download the iOS 12 beta on your device.

Download And Install iOS 12 Developer Beta

1. Now, you have to navigate to the download page on Apple’s Developer website and scroll down to find the iOS 12 beta section. Then, tap the ios developer beta download.

2. Once it is downloaded, open it on your iOS device and install the beta software. Now, you need to restart the device to install the update and get it up and running.

Method 2: Install iOS 12 Beta Through IPSW File

If you don’t get the OTA/config download to work for you, you can manually flash the iOS 12 beta on your iPhone or iPad. Here are the steps you need to follow:

1. You’ll again need to navigate to the Download page on the Apple Developer website to get the iOS 12 restore images. Make sure that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.

2. Now, you need to install the iOS 12 IPSW file, you need iTunes. Now, you have to connect your iPhone/ iPad to your PC or Mac and hold Option on a Mac and Shift on the Windows PC, followed by a click on “Check for Update” option in iTunes.

3. Now, you can see a dialog box, where you can select the downloaded iOS 12 beta IPSW file and it will be flashed on your iOS device.

The games and apps are having their own separate tabs that makes very easier for you to navigate the App Store. Each and every page will start with featured apps that has been followed by new apps. It will even have a dedicated card for showing apps and games from top indie developers. Apple can also include these features to make it easier for us to discover the new apps.

Move Multiple Apps in iOS 11

  1. First of all, you have to long press on an app’s icon which helps you to enter into the wiggle mode. Now, you have to tap and hold on any one of the app’s icons that you want to move and drag it a little. Remember that the dragging part is very important as the process you won’t work without it.
  2. Now, you have to tap on the icons of the apps that you want to move. You can now see that all the apps are being selected and forming a cluster under the first app. If you want to move the apps, you have to hold onto them and then swipe on your home screen just as you do when moving between different home pages.
  3. If you reach on the page where you want to move the icons, then you have to just release them and they will be moved.
  4. Now, you can also create the folders by dragging the stack on top of another app or move the stack into an already created folder by dragging it on top of that particular folder.

I was very excited for the new native off-line mode in Gmail, which is now finally here. The Gmail’s new Offline Mode can be used to allows users to use Gmail without having any Internet connection. When you enable the Offline Mode, you can open the Chrome browser and check and read your emails and messages without any Internet connection. In addition, you can also reply to emails which will be stored in the Gmail’s Out-box folder and sent as soon as you connect your device to the Internet. 2. Once you have done that, first click on the settings cog icon and then click on “Settings”.
  3. Here, you will find a new Off-line section. Click on it.

There’s also an option to save attachments which is turned on by default. If you have an high storage capacity on your laptop, I suggest that you keep the duration to past 90 days and keep the “Download attachment” settings turned on.
  6. Then you have to choose whether you want to keep your data off-line when you log out of your Google account or not. If you select the second option, Google will have to re-sync all your emails every time you log in. If you have a personal laptop which no one else has access to, I would suggest that you choose the first option as it will save both data and time.
  7. Finally, once you have set your preferences, just click on the “Save Changes” button to enable the Offline Mode for your Gmail.
  8. Once done, all of your emails and attachments will be downloaded and you will be able to access them offline.
